The 2008 Rotax Grand Nationals is shaping up to be one of the most feature-packed karting events ever produced. With the combined expertise of the existing race program and a world-class event management team, we are drawing amazing support for the local community as well as the karting industry.

Sponsorship is at an all-time high and new benefits are being added to aggressively market to the local business motorsports enthusiasts to build the spectator base. Ray Verhelst, Director of the Kartreg program said, “Just like any major professional racing series, sponsors get involved to reach out to new customers. If all they see are the same people who appear at each race, there is very little incentive to make your presence known. At the Grand Nationals, we are reaching deep into the business community to allow them to showcase their services and associate themselves with such a great program.”

The organization of the race also has played an important part in drawing participants to this year’s event. Everything from the sophisticated online registration site that is handling the housing, party tickets and special events to the national marketing to keep all the competitors informed have paid dividends with competitors and sponsors.

Many of the competitors will experience a unique race experience ranging from the packed calendar of events to the Shawano lakeside homes that many were lucky to rent early on. The parties, special events and meals are all designed to build the enthusiasm and keep the festivities lively as the competition grows each day.

The Competitor’s Village, the paintball tournament, the local dine-around and the many other surprises will make this one of the most amazing karting events ever produced in North America.

New Inflatable Competitor’s Garage Design Coming From Kartreg
As the leading special event management company for competitive karting events, Kartreg is constantly looking to develop new products and services that can enhance the competition experience.

A key component for inflatable garage1individuals and two person teams is the temporary structure/canopy used within the pits for weather protection and basic security.

The new cold air inflatable garage gives competitors a new durable, weather resistant structure that sets in under an hour.

Designed to provide a 10 foot wide by 30 foot deep garage provides a 10 foot high ceiling with no additional tether lines, this structure includes two aluminum door frames with the front being a folding door that retracts to the roof and locks to the base threshold for added security. The central roof panel is translucent to allow natural light in.

Special pockets have been added to the base tube along with internal auger anchors that tension strap to each vertical air channel. Wind tests are equal to traditional commercial framed tents. Side windows can be added and graphics can be applied to any surface.inflatable garage2

The 120-volt blower can be plugged into a DC adapter that can run off a truck battery.

The kit will include the tube frame, commercial-grade vinyl cover with built-in translucent center panel, door frames and door fabrics and blower.

The Kart Garage is still in the final stages of testing and will go through safety certification. Both ground anchors and asphalt stakes will be included.

Look for additional announcements as to where the demo unit will display.
